so i've learned a few random things about postal working already haha. one the MTC has one of the slowest mail systems ever it was taking a min of a week to get letters from draper or anywhere in utah. i got letters sent on the 14th on the 18th here in lansing. its just kind of fun four days to go across the nation and a week to go twenty mins. sorry just a random fact.
This week has been a fairly interesting week. first off i had to give a five min talk in church on faith and they asked my Saturday night so that was a surprise. it alright i suppose but i'm not a big fan of last min things i guess haha. then because we have such a small branch we are in charge of the gospel principles class which is entertaining. then later we went and had dinner with the Matzeelas family and give a mini lesson to their 16 year old daugthers boyfriend and that went well then we went home. then we did doorknocking monday and tuesday and we didn't have a ton of success until we almost finished the area when we gave out a BOM and then taught the first lesson on the doorstep so we will see where that goes from there. then on wednesday i believe it was we taught a pagan lady! haha i think that wins so far on most interesting teaching story out of all the aunts and uncles unless someone has something better tell me. but anyways she believes in that there are multiple gods and that she a journeyman person in her religion as part of the priest and priestess warrior classes. her main God quinteton the Lord of the Wolves is suppose to usher in the end of the world but he is then suppose to stop it something like that. she was also telling us how they have sagas written as their scriptures and all this different stuff. whats funny is as we were comparing our beliefs to hers talking. you realize how much christian beliefs are really underneath it all. we gave her a BOM and invited her to church and she accepted both so now we just have to get her a ride there. haha there is alot more with all of her stuff i just don't know it all. then on thursday we went an saw a investigator named phillip who is crazy we were talking about the book of mormon when he all of sudden asks about our churches beliefs in the government so we told him this and that but he say we aren't disciples of Christ if you have any involvement with the Government so we went back and forth for a while then just left him with a challenge to read and pray about the BOM and we are dropping him.
then lastly tonight we have a archery thing with the elders quorum that we are going to watch which should be a lot of fun.
oh and then a little bit more about Cadillac real fast its way different from utah as there is on the side of the road a stripclub called stopless topless and right next door is the family video rental store just the funniest combination of building to me. also there is a place called meijers that is exactly like walmart just a different store. its only in Michigan but it give Walmart a run for its money and limits all the walmarts. anyways thats it for this week.
