Anyways sorry about last week's email very random i know but not a lot of things had happened. this week has been a lot more eventful.
but first off the Elders quorum's archery activity turned out real well! we didn't get the less active we wanted to come there he told us he thought it had been rained out, but its alright we had three or four other less actives show up and President Mcdougall ( Elders quorums President) brought a potential investigator so hopefully we will have new person to teach here shortly!. oh and i got to shoot a Crossbow with a Scope. (just like the one from Black ops Austin and Zak and Alex. and like the one from Nightfire Ryan)
But so Monday we drove out to Lake City to Visit Ashly our Pagan Friend first off and it went reasonably well we talked a bit more about our beliefs and her beliefs then somehow her and Elder Rawlins got on the subject of weapons because she is a Warrior type Religion and next thing you know she brings out this staff that she is sharpping into a spear and starts telling us about it and how her specific group focuses on speed attacks and all sorts of random little facts but it was entertaining but i was lost to because they were talking about the Japanese weapons haha. then we went to visit Bro Elliot who is a very interesting one i don't remember if i mentioned him but he went off on Utah Politics the first time i met him because i said i was from there. but anyways we visited with him for 2 and 1/2 hours which was a long time but he randomly fed us meatloaf and potatoes and we learned that if you sit down and just listen to all his random stories eventually he will start talking about Church and all of his issues he has with just random things. so we figured the longer we stay the more we'd get done. then finally we went to visit raymond, who you need the gift of tongues to understand not evening joking but anyways he wasn't there at first but then the thought popped into my mind that he always goes walking this time of night and head the same way everytime so i told Elder Rawlins we need to walk down the road so we did and sure enough there was Raymond! cool little spiritual moment i felt. but then he started trying to teach us how to fly fish and its always a battle of controlling the conversation with him. but luckily his line broke and we were able to get sort of back on track.
Tuesday was interesting because we did trades off and i stayed in Cadillac and Elder Hovely came down here while Elder Rawlins went up to Traverse City. but then i found i was the one who had to be in charge. which was kinda of crazy especially since it was the Zone Leaders we were trading off with. but so we biked over to the other side of Cadillac lake and started doorknocking. now i hate biking since then but we'll get to that in a min. Dking went reasonably well i actually managed to get a referral, two appointments for the next day and a few cards given out. but then we had to bike to Kent Wings house which was a 7 or 8 mile bike ride one way! and while we are going both of the pedals break off my bike so i'm ridding on the metal spikes that held the pedals. and then i got lost because i had only been to that area once before and it was by car. and when we finally got there... he wasn't home!!! so we biked clear back to the apartments. and my legs were just crapping. and about 2 miles from home as we were walking the bikes across the street Elder Hovleys tire popped! haha it was just a nightmare. so we finally get back after about 20 miles of biking and we walk over to Peg Frisbees house to check up see if she read the Bom we gave her and nope so that appointment fell through so we went to see raymond and we had a good talk about Samuel the Laminite and i actually controlled the conversation.
Wednesday we did trade back and went to district meeting where we then traded off again and this time i was with Elder Pack another Missionary from Alta he has only been out for 4 monthes. anyways so we went to lunch with anita Bosman at a mexican restraunt which was way good then we went doorknocking and did the follow up appointments i had scheduled yesterday all of which had fallen through. we set up a few more appointments though even one in six weeks haha early planning. then we went to go visit Bro Hoover a less active and got totally lost because i had never been there. so then after an hour we went to a dinner appointment with the deckers then came back to Cadillac for another appointment which fell through too but we could see them peeking out the windows.
thursday we trade back and had Lunch at Anita's Restruant a different place then where she took us. we then went and visited a bunch of less actives and doorknocked more then saw raymond again.
Friday we saw a less active and he was taking us through his garden and kept feeding us stuff from it then we went to the Snowdens where we were feed more! then we did daily planning then went to the Martins for more food! boy oh boy i feel fat haha.
and today we are suppose to go fishing with the less active with garden so we will see what happens.
and that about covers the week
